Ephesians 6:10-18

"Finally, brother, be strong in the Lord!  And in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the authorities against the power of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore, put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints

"

2 Corinthians 10:5

Philippians 4:4-9

"Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is pure, whatever is right, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable –if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me – put it into practice.  And the God of peace will be with you."

2 Chronicles 7:13-14

"When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain or command locust to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways than will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Matthew 13:1–9

The Sower's Parable
That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea. Such
great crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat there,
while the whole crowd stood on the beach. And he told them many things in
parables, saying: "Listen! A sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed,
some seeds fell on a path, and the birds came and ate them up. 5 Other
seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and they
sprang up quickly, since they had no depth of soil. 6 But when the sun rose,
they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered away. 7
Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. 8
Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold,
some sixty, some thirty. 9 If you have ears, hear!"

Matthew 13:18–23

The Explanation
"Hear, then, the parable of the sower. 19 When anyone hears the word of
the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches
away what has been sown in the heart; this is what was sown on the path.
20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the
word and immediately receives it with joy, 21 yet such a person has no root
but endures only for a while, and when trouble or persecution arises on
account of the word, that person immediately falls away. 22 As for what
was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares
of this age and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing. 23
But as for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word
and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields in one case a
hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty."
